Everything is connected in circuits. Ecological, economic, cosmic circuits. Water evaporates on one side of the globe and falls as rain on the other. Electrical impulses, economy, and power float around in worldwide networks. You are dust, and unto dust you shall return.
Art meets science when four writers and four scientists collaborate to contribute to a wild growing, interwoven musical performance about circuits at a time, when both, confused, vulnerable and powerful human being must see itself as part of the globe and as a destructive, geological force.
MENS SOLEN BÆNDER is an elegy of circuits; a poetic song mourning the collapse.
The performance is created by director Niels Erling in collaboration with actress Lotte Andersen, who is also acting on stage along with her son, actor Louis Bodnia Andersen. Katrine Muff Enevoldsen has written the songs, while the scenography is created by Lise Marie Birch.
The four writers Ida Marie Hede, Kaspar Colling Nielsen, Peder Frederik Jensen, and Ursula Andkjær Olsen are teamed up with a biologist, a geologist, a philosopher and an astrophysicist.
Co-production between Sort/Hvid, AKT1 and Songbirds.
