A trip into the utopian ecstacy of the the clubbing scene with live music by RUMPISTOL and KILL J.

Every night the musician and dj RUMPISTOL and musician and singer KILL J will be performing on stage. Together with three actors they will take you on a trip to the clubbing scene. Social norms have nothing to say here. At the club you can look exactly as you wish. You can change sex, if you wish. You can move from one social class to another, if you wish. You can be someone else, if you wish. At the dance floor you can let go and dive into endless freedom. But after a utopian night, comes a day of hangovers.

ELECTONIC is a portrait of the electronic clubbing scene’s utopian ecstacy over 30 years. With live music by Rumpistol and the singer Kill J the audience is taken on a tour from the 90’s to today. Set in the iconic visuals which electronic music is famous for. A well known beat recalls a memory. About a wild and carefree youth or the beginning of an addiction, you no longer have under control. In a split second, our faith in the future from the 90’s shows up. In another we feel the hopelessness that kicked in as we entered the millennium with terror and the financial crisis.

ELECTRONIC is an artistic hybrid between an electronic concert and a portrait. A portrait of both a music genre and the reality that has flown by while electronic rhythms set dance floors a light.

The performance is a co-production with LIMINAL.
