NOMA

Food programs, gourmet guides and colourful food reviews fill the airwaves, and we bake delicate cakes and slice onions in countless ways like never before. Meanwhile ecology and sustainability is now more hip than hippie. But have we become blind in the search of unique dining experiences?

While most people know the name of the world’s best restaurant, renowned for its Nordic creative food, few people know that noma is the name of a disease caused by hunger and malnutrition. The disease starts in the mouth as a simple infection, where after it begins to devour the face of its victim; it attacks skin, muscle, flesh and bones. Who is the lucky one to get a new face by UN? And who will live with a monstrous appearance?

This inedible recipe is a starting point for a disturbing restaurant at Kunsthal Charlottenborg. Here Sort/Hvid exposes the audience to emergency soup, conscientious songs and crisped flavours. Reserve a table and become the lucky winner of a dinner at Noma.

NOMA is the winner concept of RUM/15.
