JEG STÅR I KVIKSAND OG BRØLER SOM EN HJORT

”I am a slice of toast lying out in the rain,” she says. Lyrical poetry meets cold Danish everyday life, when a young woman brings us on a tour de force through a dizzying love story. All the way to that day where she finds herself in an ex-boyfriend’s apartment smearing the content of his fridge all over his kitchen. Capers are wonderful as confetti. Did this really happen or does her imaginations run wild again?

This is a verbal power attack of a music performance. A young woman’s story about holding love so tight that it, suddenly, brakes. It is about desperation, loneliness, and thirst for revenge. It is raw. It is brutally honest. It is uncomfortably funny.

On stage is actress Josefine Reumert Grau and musician and sound designer Viktor Dahl, directed by Nanna Cecilie Bang. Normally the sound designer is well hidden away, but in this performance the sound scape is created live on stage in close co-operation between music, text, and bitter love.

The performance is a co-production between the artistic team and Sort/Hvid.
