Tickets

A set table. Rhythmic heartbeats. A transcending electronic pulse. Earthy scents. The room is blurred. Everything feels soft. Now, the master of the ceremony steps forward. Someone is chanting. You are connected to everyone. And now you shall die. To be reborn.

APOLLONIAN BLACKOUT is a musical experience, mixing concert, installation, and performance. With inspiration from myths, rituals and traditions, participants are invited on a trance-like trip that examines and challenges the relationship between music, musicians, and audience. The sound image is build up in mix of electronic and acoustic sounds. It is repetitive; a piece of melody is turned, slowly varied, and sent into a circuit.

The focal point of Apollonian Blackout is the transatlantic ensemble Hess Is More, led by the Danish multi-instrumentalist Mikkel Hess. The musical experience is staged by Mikkel Hess, Tue Biering, Christian Friedländer and Dicki Lakha. The costumes are designed by the renowned Danish designer Henrik Vibskov.

In APOLLONIAN BLACKOUT Hess is More develop their successful concert format Apollonian Circles. Hess is More is a forever growing ensemble with members in Copenhagen and New York varying and expanding from project to project.

A co-production between Sort/Hvid, Kaja MANGEMENT and Hess Is More
