Feminine Fun Studies

Chuck Morris present: Feminine Fun Studies. The red curtain opens to the sight of women and humour. The duo seriously focus on the study of nonsense, of how to fool around and of the performance of a joke. They are women, they are almost still young and beautiful and no one thinks they’re funny. Canned cheers. Chuck Morris walks the tightrope of humour with this study and brings the art of being funny to a place where no one expected it: the female sex. Femme fatale and country bumpkin, blonde and brunette, Dolly and Holly, Coyote and Roadrunner or the white academic super twin –they all play with charm rather than shame and vent it from their vagina. Through stand-up comedy, vaudeville, cartoon highlights and classics from the feminist avant-garde Chuck Morris score above and below the belt.

Chuck Morris is a duo working in the fields of theory, choreography and performance. It is also a production entity, a generator of experience, and a pool of knowledge. Chuck Morris perceives the world through the lens of two white, Western, well educated middle class women. Chuck Morris are professional dilettantes: experts in learning something from situations that do not seem instructive. With every artistic suggestion, Chuck Morris learn something new and become more and more virtuoso in their capacity to fail.
