The Museum of Martyrs

The first martyr museum in the North will now be inaugurated in a former slaughterhouse in Copenhagen’s Meatpacking District. The exhibition will explore why some people will die for what they believe in. Our fascination with heroic people is not a new phenomenon. We continue to wonder which motives that drives people to martyrdom. Do the martyrs of today differentiate from past martyrs, and what does it mean to die for your beliefs?

Experience the exhibition on your own or bring alive the stories of martyrs from the past, present and future with a guided tour led by our professional guides.
