Bob and Helena have both lost faith in love at the point when they randomly meet on a sad evening in a sad wine bar in the sad Edinburgh.

She is a divorce Lawyer; he is a small time crook. Even though it wasn’t in the cards that the two should fall in love, they end up in Helena’s bed – and after this, everything goes wrong!

“I am 40 years old – if I don’t do something now, I will never get anything done. I have 15.000 Pound in a polyethylene bag. Will you help me spend them?”

MIDSUMMER tells the story of two unsuccessful lovers and though it unfolds in only a single weekend it contains scandalous marriages, Parking Machines with a sense of philosophy, Japanese rope bondage, and a string of indie pop songs performed live on stage.
